Setting a new standard for high-bay luminaires, Pacemaker 2 now offers a choice of compact fluorescent, high-pressure sodium or metal-halide light sources. As well as helping to reduce energy consumption, the new compact fluorescent models are available in either high-frequency or digitaldimming versions and can be specified with integral emergency control gear if required. All discharge-lamp models can be supplied with an optional auxiliary run-up lamp, which strikes immediately and disconnects when 80% of the discharge-lamp light output is reached. Optical attachments available for Pacemaker 2 include two sizes of high-efficiency refractor for use where a direct/indirect lighting effect is required, an IP65 safety glass attachment, a wire guard, and a self-cleaning aluminium reflector that has been designed to deliver uniform distribution and effective glare control from elliptical lamps. Pacemaker 2 features a die-cast aluminium housing with a multi-finned heat-sink construction to dissipate lampholder heat and improve lamp life. Supplied with a 1m pre-wired lead and a chain suspension facility, the new luminaire is both quick to install and easy to maintain.
