High performance
cover clamp
The high performance cover clamp is designed for any
application, including industrial high wind environments.
• Use with HPL, SDL, and HDL Series Cable Ladder
• Recommended for any covered cable ladder
application
• High wind rated up to 76 m/s (170 mph)
• Utilizes slots in ladder and cover for strength
• Helps reduce sagging and warping
• Available in mechanical zinc or stainless steel
• Raised clamp available for side ventilation
• Multiple installation options for fittings (pages 4-5)

Straight section cover
installation
Step 1: Determine the total number of clamps required.
See table on page 2.

Step 2: Determine installation location for cover clamps.
This is the top slot adjacent to the edge of the splice plate.
Step 5: Install the serrated flange nut and tighten.
Repeat steps for all clamp locations.
Step 3: Place the clamp plate on the inside of the ladder into the
determined slot.
Step 6: Align the cover slots with the clamp studs and place cover
on ladder.
Step 4: Align the plate on the outside of the ladder with the clamp.
Step 7: Secure cover by installing serrated flange nut over each
clamp. Torque all nuts to 13 Newton meters.

Option 1
Step 1: Determine the total number of clamps required.

Step 2: Determine installation location for cover clamps.
This is the top slot adjacent to the edge of the splice plate.
Step 5: Install the serrated flange nut & tighten to 13 Newton
meters. Repeat steps for all clamp locations.
Step 3: Place the clamp plate on the outside of the ladder into the
determined slot.
Step 6: Align the cover slots with the clamp studs and place cover
on ladder.
Step 4: Align the cover clamp on the inside of the ladder with the
clamp plate.
Step 7: Secure cover by installing serrated flange nut over each
clamp. Torque all nuts to 13 Newton meters.

Step 1: Determine the total number of clamps required.
See table on page 2.

Step 2: Determine installation location for cover clamps.
This is the top slot adjacent to the edge of the splice plate.
Step 5: Install the serrated flange nut. Repeat steps for all clamp
locations.
Step 3: Mate the cover clamp and clamp plate together.
Step 6: Align the cover slots with the clamp studs and place cover
on ladder.
Step 4: Place both the cover clamp and clamp plate on the inside of
the fitting.
Step 7: Secure cover by installing serrated flange nut over each
clamp. Torque all nuts to 13 Newton meters.
