Interoperable Communications
Developed by a single company and designed to work seamlessly
together, RSAN can be integrated with ALERiTY’s other systems,
including WAVES Wide-Area MNS and SAFEPATH In-building Voice
Evacuation System. From a simplified, single interface, you can
launch all of the different systems, including text messaging,
automated voice dialing, desktop alerts, indoor speakers, and
outdoor Giant Voice. It allows you to focus on the emergency at
hand without being slowed down, trying to activate multiple systems.
Through the Roam Secure Information eXchange (RSIX), a secure,
real-time information sharing framework, a campus can easily
communicate critical information with other facilities as well as to
local fire, police and health departments for a better understanding
of the emergency.

EATON ALERiTY Roam Secure Alert Network (RSAN)
For improved situational awareness and system management, RSAN
can be integrated with existing systems such as Computer-Aided
Dispatch (CAD) and Incident Management Systems (IMS) and with
external data sources like the National Weather Service, Center for
Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Transportation,
breaking news feeds and monitoring services. Alerts can be sent
automatically when a threat is detected, allowing you to get the
essential information out quickly then follow up with additional
information as needed.
RSAN can send and receive alerts via the emergency data
exchange standard, Common Alerting Protocol (EDXL-CAP). RSAN
also provides the capability to directly connect to the IPAWS Open
Platform for Emergency Networks (IPAWS-OPEN).
