a History minor for Teaching will only be available for students
completing a comprehensive program together with Social Studies
or Geography. Please see an advisor.

REQUIRED COURSES

_____ HIST 124 U.S. 1877 to the Present
Students are required to take all classes in one of the two following
sequences:
_____ HIST 101 Western Civilization to 1648,
_____ HIST 102 Western Civilization 1648 to World War I, and
_____ HIST 103 20th- Century Civilization
OR
_____ HIST 109 World History to 1500 and
_____ HIST 110 World History Since 1500

RESTRICTED ELECTIVES (300-level or above)
Choose three hours in each of the three areas:
A. United States & Canada
B. Europe (includes Russia and ancient Greek and Roman history)
C. Africa, Asia and Latin America (includes Middle East and ancient
Near East)
