SLA participants should attend this session to find out about facilitators,
session topics and locations, in addition to program expectations. Students
that attend this session will receive resource materials. This session will
be offered four times, but participants will only get credit for attending this
session once.

This session addresses questions that most people are afraid to ask about
when it comes to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/queer/questioning
community. Participants will leave with a better understanding of sex and
gender, how our society constructs gender, what heteronormativity is, and
how we can become more inclusive with our language and overall understanding of sex and gender.
