THE SHAKESPEARE EXPERIENCE (ENG 39195/ THEA 41191)
Explore the English early modern theater: learn about the history of the English theater, about performances past and present,
and, of course, about Shakespeare. For over four hundred years people have been watching productions of Shakespeare’s plays,
pouring over his texts, and discussing his accomplishment—explore why that is. This course includes a field trip to the
American Shakespeare Center in Virginia, with a $400 cost that covers expenses of the trip.
ALSO AVAILABLE: Practicum (Theatre Lab) courses in Design/Tech,
Stage Management and Performance for the Fall theatre production.
