Bradenton Area Sports Commission
History
 The Florida Gulf Coast Sports Commission (FGCSC)
was established as a private entity in 2001.
 The FGCSC became the 13th appointed Sports
Commission in the State of Florida.
 In January 2012, the FGCSC was renamed the Bradenton
Area Sports Commission (BASC), a non profit 501C3.
 The BASC is charged with creating revenue.
 Since 2001, our Sports Commission has hosted over 1000
events with an economic impact of over 395 million
dollars to our local community.
