HABITAT RESTORATION & PUBLIC INFORMATION SUBCOMMITTEES

1. CALL TO ORDER / WELCOME
2. PUBLIC COMMENT
3. PRIORITY RESTORATION & ACQUISITION SITE INVENTORY UPDATE
Mr. Ed Sherwood, Tampa Bay Estuary Program, will discuss a component of the Habitat Master Plan
update focusing on developing strategies for improving habitat resiliency to climate change.
Action: Consider forming a task force to identify new priority sites for restoration/acquisition.
4. SWIM PROGRAM UPDATE
A representative from the Southwest Florida Water Management District will provide an update on the
status of several ongoing restoration projects and on the upcoming effort to revise the Tampa Bay
SWIM Plan.
Action: None. Information only.
5. JULIAN B. LANE RIVERFRONT PARK MASTER PLAN
A representative from the City of Tampa will present preliminary design concepts for Julian B. Lane
Park, located along the western edge of the Hillsborough River and solicit feedback for potential habitat
restoration opportunities to be incorporated into the master plan. More information is available at:

Action: Consider providing formal recommendations for habitat restoration to be included in the master plan.
6. PUBLIC INFORMATION SUBCOMMITTEE CHAIR NOMINATIONS
The former Chair of the Public Information subcommittee is no longer a member of the Agency on
Bay Management.
Action: Nominate and select a new Public Information subcommittee chairperson.
7. BAY SOUNDINGS FALL EDITORIAL ADVISORY
Ms. Vicki Parsons, Editor of Bay Soundings, will request feedback on the Spring/Summer issue of Bay
Soundings, provide draft story concepts for the Fall issue and accept ideas for future stories.
Action: Consider draft story concepts and recommend future story ideas.
