Rationale for Revision: This introduction to computer hardware requires programming background, but the programming language is immaterial. We are updating the prerequisites to allow our commonly taught introductions to programming and to simplify the list of prerequisites. We eliminate a possible prerequisite, “permission of the School of Engineering Technology” because it is never used (and we can always grant overrides in specific cases, as with any course). The description is being amended to clarify the expected background. The word “simulator” is elided as it is academically irrelevant. B.
