practices.

A senior-level course for urban and regional planning majors and minors, intended to be taken concurrently with GPLN 410L. A seminar format
is used to present a series of topics relating to professional practice in planning. Readings, case studies, simulations and guest speakers are used
to expose students to professional activities, including public hearings, dealing with community controversies, and professional-level
communication techniques. Topics also deal with issues of professional ethics and certification.

Presentation and discussion of topics relating to professional practice in planning and related areas. Readings, case studies, simulations, and
guest speakers are used to expose students to professional activities, including public hearings, dealing with community controversies, and
