OFFICE.
A. Rationale for Revision:
The Historic Preservation Program has never had its own Thesis prefix/course number option for its students, instead
having to use the GEOG prefix and number. Whether this was an oversight is indeterminable. The program does
utilize a Historic Preservation Project number (GHPR 690,691,692) for culminating works falling in that category.
However, based on the desire of some students who prefer to prepare a full Thesis (two in Fall 2013 semester for
example), we want to add the word Thesis to the existing prefix and course number. A number of other programs
already have this type of description: CAE, 690-92 (Development Project/Thesis), CNST 690-92 (Development
Project/Thesis), or QUAL 690-92 (Development Project/Thesis) for example.
