Motion to approve pending confirmation of departmental support from the departments of Sociology and Economics. Motion passes (8-­‐0-­‐0) -­‐Comment: too many inconsistencies in the proposal – especially between sections 2 and 3 HRM 120, Cooking Essentials (new course). Motion to not approve, seconded. Motion passes (8-­‐0-­‐0) -­‐Comments: no rationale for the need of the course; neither part of a major nor for General Education. HRM 386, Global Hospitality Management II (new course). Motion to not approve, seconded. Motion passes (8-­‐0-­‐0) -­‐Comments: too similar to HRM 385. We recommend allowing for repeat of 385; inappropriate to address gender norms of dress.
