Procedure Effective Date April 21, 2015 Chapter Name Other Chapter Number 10.5.P.1 Date of Last Revision April 21, 2015 Title IT Project Status Changes Due to Aging 1.0 Purpose Projects remaining unassigned, on hold, or inactive for more than six months will have their status reflected on the IT project spreadsheet and in communications with requesting departments. 2.0 Governing Policy Number/Document Name 10.5 IT Project Management Effective Date April 21, 2014 3.0 Procedure Projects will be reviewed for the following criteria by the person currently assigned as “Director” to the project: • Projects “Unassigned” to specific IT resources for 6 months will be canceled and categorized as “Withdrawn” • Projects currently “Active” but have had no activity for 6 months will be placed “On Hold” • Projects “On Hold” for 6 months will be canceled and categorized as “Withdrawn” IT Director: 1. Contact requestor to discuss feasibility for assigning IT and requestor resources 2. Determine new desired ECD with requestor as needed 3. Determine the correct project status: a. “Active” with assigned resources b. “On Hold” desired re-activation dates can be added to the project “Notes” c. “Withdrawn” if IT and the requestor determine the project is no longer needed 4. Inform the IT Executive Secretary for processing and provide project number and change of project status Executive Secretary: 1. Move project to appropriate tab (“Active”, “Hold” or “Withdrawn”) 2.
