Integration Testing for RxStar
1. Click on the link below (Ctrl+click) to access the StarPanel test site or click on the SPQR10 link in
the bottom right corner of the StarPanel Production Login Screen.

2. Login with your RACF user ID and password.
3. On the left panel window, click Customize.
4. On the submenu, click Preferences. Your preferences will display in the StarPanel window on
the right.
5. Scroll down until you see “Applications mode:”
6. Click the dropdown menu and select “Int. Test” You want to make sure that you are in the INT
test environment.
7. On the left panel, click “Log out.” You must log out of the StarPanel test site after selecting your
Application mode in order to save your mode change (You should only have to do this for your
initial mode change.).
8. Login with your RACF user ID and password, again. You should now be in INT mode. StarPanel
identifies your mode selection to the right of your login name at the top of the StarPanel
window. (should only have to do this step one time).
9. Clcik on Inpatient census to select a patient (must use a bedded patient in Medipac test), select
a patient on a unit you want to test printing for. (Please do not test with those patients that
have “Do Not Use” in their name).
10. Below is a screenshot that illustrates the preceding steps.
11. Now you can select RxStar and write a test script, save to cart and checkout.
12. Verify the printer displaying is the correct tamper proof printer for this area.
a. If you don’t see the printer you expect to
i. Search for it and see if it will display and if so what are it is associated with
ii. then you may need to follow up with the RxStar team or the Unix team (now
responsible for setting printers up in CUPS for RxStar inpatient printing)
13. Complete the script and select print unsigned
14. Call the unit to see if the script printed on that floor (it may take a few minutes)
a. Things to be aware of:
i. Even if the printer displays correctly you need to go ahead and test the printing
of the test script to make sure it prints – there is another step in the process
that must happen to allow it print as well as display.
ii. Script could print to another floor meaning it was mapped incorrectly
