Since 2012, Takorn has overseen the Office of the NBTC through many regulatory milestones amidst the challenging, fast-changing environment of the Thai ICT sector. Recent notable achievements of the NBTC include holding the country’s first spectrum auctions, registering mobile SIM cards nationwide, and starting the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting. Prior to joining the Office of the NBTC, Takorn held senior positions in the Bureau of the Budget and the Office of the Auditor General of Thailand. He also served as an advisor to the Senate House Committee of Communications. Takorn holds a law degree from Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Detroit University, USA. In 2013, he was awarded an honorary doctorate in Public Administration from the Prince of Songkla University, Thailand.
