Take out the first version of your narrative essay. I will ask you to scan
them for examples of the issues dealt with in the oral presentations.
Brief Oral Presentations:
Pause after each for questions and other examples.
Have class discuss solutions to flawed sentences.
Discuss parallel construction
Hand out new oral presentation assignments.
Organize students into groups with different pairs of articles.
Each person should present two articles.
Each person should also have a sheet of paper on which to
write down questions from your group.
Your task as listeners is to consider possible questions.
What more would you like to know?
What aspects are difficult to understand?
Discuss the meaning of revision:
How do you proceed when you are revising a paper?
The risks (and benefits) of cut and paste.
