1.0 Purpose
Ensure all standards are met so code promotion can occur efficiently and accurately. This applies to code
promotions requested between any two application instances.

Change request is received by EAS.
IT Developer facilitates testing.
IT Developer obtains user testing acceptance.
IT Developer requests promotion to production instance.
The Director/Asst. Director of EAS approves request.
Production Control / Application Administrator verifies that the process has been executed successfully at
least once in test instance.
Production Control / Application Administrator promotes code to production instance.
During upgrades, a change freeze may be necessary in order to maintain testing and environment integrity.
Any exceptions must be approved by Director of EAS and/or Director of Enterprise Operations, as
appropriate.
4.0 Responsibility for Implementation
Implementation of this procedure is the responsibility of the Director of Enterprise Applications and/or the Director
of Enterprise Operations, as appropriate.
