MiCTA was founded in 1982 and served as a forum
to share information among universities; it has
since expanded to provide needed services to those
universities. MiCTA coordinates group purchasing
among its members to provide lower costs for the
members. Eastern Michigan University is a member
to MiCTA.
MiCTA provides a vast array of suppliers in its
cooperative, to create supplier diversity and
competition. Its suppliers offer a wide variety of
different products and services at very competitive
prices. Some of the commodities offered by MiCTA
are as follows.
