TOTAL REWARDS FORUM for AC, AH, AP & CA Employees Human Resources Benefits Office Agenda 2015 Merit Program / Compensation Adjustments 2015-2016 Employee Benefit Announcements Current Wellness Initiatives 2015 Merit Program • Up to 2.5% Merit Increase – Retroactive to July 1, 2015 – Reflected in Nov. 25 (bi-weekly) and Nov. 30 (semimonthly) paychecks • Criteria for Merit Increase – Eligibility requirements satisfied • Includes overall performance record for past year • Mid-year salary adjustments taken into consideration – Department head and Division leader recommends % increase to HR for approval • Merit pool dollars available to each division based upon 2.5% of salaries for eligible employees Eligibility for Merit Increase • Currently in AC, AH, AP or CA classification (NBF) – Employed more than six months as NBF (non-bargained for) • Hire date prior to January 1, 2015 • Is not currently in Interim role • Last adjustment to pay was prior to Jan. 1, 2015 – Includes promotions, reclassifications and other salary adjustments • Satisfactory Performance Record – Overall performance review for FY15 is “Meets Requirements” or higher rating – No formal discipline within past year (July 2014 – June 2015) – Not currently on performance improvement plan (PIP) Employee Benefits Update Benefits Eligibility Changes Health Coverage Changes and 2016 Premiums IRS Limits for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) Open Enrollment Dates and Communication Upcoming Wellness Programs Eligibility Change – AEAs and Additional Covered Dependents • Additional Eligible Adults (AEAs) and Additional Covered Dependents coverage under EMU-group benefit plans ends – Effective January 1, 2016 • May continue health and dental coverage for 18-36 months under COBRA • AEAs may qualify to convert group life insurance to individual policy Eligibility Change – Tuition Benefit for AEAs • Effective Winter Semester (beginning January 2016) – Tuition Waiver benefit no longer available for Additional Eligible Adults (AEAs) – AEA recipients still subject to tuition reversal (reflected on bill) if passing grade not received in Fall 2015 Eligibility Change - Spouses • Effective January 1, 2017 for Health plan • Spouses with access to subsidized employer coverage must enroll in employer coverage prior to enrolling in EMU plan – EMU coverage becomes secondary for medical – Must provide proof of enrollment in employer’s plan (prior to enrollment in EMU’s plan) • For both spouses employed by EMU – One spouse elects coverage and enrolls the other spouse as dependent on health plan Eligibility Change - Spouses • Effective January 1, 2017 for Dental plan • Spouses with access to subsidized employer coverage may enroll spouse in EMU dental plan – Must pay the full cost of coverage for dental (employer rate – currently $38.18 in 2015 for single) • For both spouses employed by EMU – One spouse elects coverage and enrolls the other spouse as dependent on dental plan – Dual elections no longer allowed under dental for spouses and children;
