Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from Eastern Michigan University! We are pleased to invite you and your students to our annual
EMU Band Day at the Factory. Come catch the waves with us as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the
Beach Boys! This year's event will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2015 in Rynearson Stadium as we take on
Miami University. Although the time of the game has not been released, we do anticipate it being a 3p.m.
kickoff.
Below are a few highlights surrounding our Band Day festivities:

A massed band halftime rehearsal and performance in Rynearson Stadium.
The EMU Eagle's Fight Song will be provided, but we ask for you to acquire two commercial Beach
Boys arrangements on your own:

You will receive complimentary admission for all participating students, directors, and up to ten
chaperones/drivers. Additional tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate through the EMU ticket
office. Please call the ticket office at 734-487-2282 for more information.

Prior to the game each band participates in the "Pass-in-Review" around the field followed by a
Pregame performance by the EMU Marching Band.
5.
One select group will be invited to perform their fall show during at the conclusion of the game.
Please indicate on your registration form if you are interested in this postgame performance.
6.
All color guards are welcome to participate in our 35th Annual Color Guard Competition. The
winning color guard is invited to perform the second selection (Fun, Fun, Fun) with the massed band
during halftime. Please note the Color Guard Competition is limited to auxiliary units including flags,
sabers, rifles, and other small props only. There will be no formal competition provided for
majorettes; however, they will be able to work with our feature EMU twirlers during the massed band
rehearsal in preparation for their halftime performance.

or mail it to us to reserve your spot by October 17. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to
