Which bit of the day was most valuable? Jon Baldwin (X7) (made me feel a valued member of staff ) Richard Lambert (X9) (made me feel part of the organisation) (put mind at rest, positive) (he’s a good asset) Nigel Thrift (X11) (Impressive and inspiring) Hearing from new C/VC Breakout sessions (X6) Plenary sessions (X4) (but VC said much of what registrar said X2) Networking (X17) Robert O’Toole Kate Hughes Wide choice of workshops Coaching and mentoring De-stress (X2) Energy challenge Central speech sessions Digital press session Overview of whole university (X4) Chance to be informed & contribute (X5) Opportunity to think in a strategic way Widening participation session Student experience breakout 2. Which bit of the day was least valuable? Jon Baldwin Richard Lambert (X2) Breakout sessions (X3) (limited scope) (too short) Salsa Student experience session (X2) (didn’t offer anything new) Coaching & Mentoring CRM Intelligent use of email Warwick Network Feedback Sheet 3. Richard Lambert (X8) Hearing new chancellor (X5) Nigel Thrift (X4) Breakout sessions (X7) Plenary sessions (X5) WCM CRM Pilates (X3) Salsa (X14) Singing (X4) De-stressing session (X3) Coaching and mentoring session (X2) Digital press Energy session Robert O’Toole Kate Hughes Student experience Hands on with iMac Learning about other parts of the uni Meeting new people, hearing their opinions (X8) Balance of workshops and plenary sessions, and strategic and tactical info Tours around campus / landscape tour / Arts Centre Chance to choose variety of sessions 4. Which bit of the day did you enjoy the least? Jon Baldwin (looking back too much) Richard Lambert Breakout sessions (X2) (too short) Student experience session E-squad CRM The cold lecture theatre (X9) Lunch (X2) (little food left) Questions at plenary sessions Locations quite spaced out, had to rush (X3) Queuing for toilets (X3) Having to go back to the office to cover phones Intelligence use of email Obtaining refreshments, too busy (X2) Warwick Network Feedback Sheet 5. How could Warwick network be improved? No water anywhere (X2) Longer break between 2nd and 3rd breakout session More coverage of university update/university structure More awareness of corporate communications and their role in university Not outdoors in the winter Science concourse is crowded Longer sessions (X2) Bigger role for VC Why the registrar? Why so few academics in attendance? (X6) Less tight schedule (X4) (more time for networking (X2)) Speed networking (like speed-dating) Open questions: ask people to introduce themselves More toilets (X2) Jon Baldwin: late start, poor sound system, poor speaker Jon Baldwin & Nigel Thrift repeated same points (X2) Provide options for structured sessions to discuss processes which cross dept’s/service functions, to improve systems Provide just 4 feedback sheets Issues raised in earlier session could receive online feedback during the day, to be discussed at a later session Expand the idea of keynote speakers, singing and dancing belong elsewhere (X2) Try to be more inclusive and promote sessions more to staff below grade 4 (X2) Extend breakout sessions to 4 and have lunch over 2 hours, schedule a fourth sessions 12-1pm More student involvement in workshops Maybe Ramphal is a better location? Shorter sessions to fit more in Would be good to have access to more of the parallel sessions Theme the different sessions more clearly Chancellor’s address could have been a little shorter Extra sessions (X2) Longer lunch Spread over 2 days so that more people can attend (X3) People who ran the sessions didn’t quite know how to fill an hour These days should be held more often (X2) Put summary of speeches on the web to inform more people Sound too quiet, particularly Jon Baldwin & Richard Lambert (X2) More comfortable venue Warwick Welcome very disorganised, added to confusion (left for sessions too early and left people behind) Warwick Network Feedback Sheet Other comments Very well organised (X7) Good to see so many people attending Good networking opportunity Make sure it continues Right time of year Choir, mince pies and mulled wine were a lovely surprise Was beyond expectations Good idea to have session name on badges, good talking point for networking Unfortunately only allowed by manager to attend specific session we had booked, but this was very valuable
