After one year of inactivity, any balance remaining on an individual’s account will be forfeited. Obligations: EMU Dining Services agrees to provide meals to the person on this contract in accordance with the plan purchased with the following terms and conditions. The contract holder agrees that this agreement is binding upon completion of all validation requirements, which include verification of academic status (if applicable and/or of current employment). The contract holder must present a valid Eagle OneCard ID to the cashier in order to use this plan. Advantage plan purchasers agree to comply with rules and regulations of the university. EMU may terminate this agreement if the purchaser is found to be in violation. Payroll Deductions: The total amount due to EMU Dining Services will be deducted in equal installments over 6 pay periods from wages to be paid to the purchaser. In the event the purchaser’s employment is terminated for any reason, any unpaid balance will be deducted in full from their final paycheck. (Student employees are not eligible for payroll deduction.) Lost or Stolen ID Cards: Must be reported to the Housing and Dining Services offices or to the Eagle OneCard office immediately to put the account balance on hold until a replacement card is issued (fees will apply). EMU Dining Services is not responsible for losses due to fraudulent use, theft or loss of ID. Sales Tax: Michigan State law requires that all non-bona fide students (i.e. faculty and staff ) pay state sales tax (6%) on any prepared food items intended to be consumed immediately as well as all non-food items. Any applicable sales tax will be added to the purchase total.
