Q. What will my contributions be used for?
A: Donations will be used for design and construction
of the Greenway system. The Greenway Master
Plan currently calls for 185 miles of greenway
throughout Mecklenburg County, of which 25
miles are presently complete.
Q: When will the system be completed?
A: It depends on the funding. The only sources
of construction dollars at present are your
contributions, and bond proceeds. The Greenway
competes with other critical county funding
needs (schools, roads, social services) and may
not always receive top priority. Your contributions
are therefore crucial to making this happen!

Catch the vision and help place the Little Sugar Creek
Greenway on the Charlotte/Mecklenburg map.
Picture a greenway in the midst of Charlotte’s thriving
skyscrapers and suburbs: an educational and
environmentally-sound outdoor space that lets you
enjoy the beauty of this community.
With your help and support, the Little Sugar Creek
Greenway can be built and a name made for
Charlotte/Mecklenburg. When complete, the greenway
will feature 12.5 miles of paths, habitats and flowing
water from Cordelia Park just north of uptown, through
the Midtown Square area to the South Carolina line,
conveniently linking CPCC, CMS and the Park Road
and Carolina Place shopping areas. A space for quiet

years ago, applied today’s thinking and technology and
now have a progressive greenway master plan. We’re
poised to lead the South as a model of successful urban
and suburban development. All we need is you.
