Huntersville Police Department: Data includes the number of reports filed with violent
and non-violent crimes comparing those with domestic relationships and those without.
Violent crimes included homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, non-aggravated
assault, and forcible sex offenses. Non-violent crimes included harassing phone calls,
stalking, communicating threats, kidnapping, and 50-B violations.
Initial Publication Date: 7/28/2008. Updated: January 2013.
Mint Hill Police Department:
Data includes the number of incident reports
generated by calls for service. The list of offenses include homicide, rape, robbery,
aggravated assault, non-aggravated assault, forcible sex offenses, harassing phone
calls, stalking, communicating threats, kidnapping, and 50-B violations. The total
number of domestic violence-related reports and non domestic violence-related reports
were also listed.
Initial Publication Date: 8/14/2008. Updated: January 2013.
Disclaimer: These statistics are calls for service which generated an Incident Report.
There are calls which may involve domestic violence that are reported as incident calls
because the victim may not want to press charges or no legal action was taken at the
time of the call.
1
Data was extracted from incident reports by CMPD or the Davidson Police Department in CMPD’s
online records management system. Data in this system is subject to change if individual reports are
subsequently updated, corrected or reclassified to other offenses during investigation. Cases that have
been marked “unfounded” after investigation are not included in this data. Relationships in the reports
summarized here are not manually verified and may include data entry errors. Data in this chart therefore
may not match “domestic” crime data extracted or published using other criteria of definitions of domestic
violence or compiled at a later date.
2
These crime categories were selected by the Domestic Violence Community Leadership Team as trend
indicators for domestic violence. Please bear in mind that if multiple victims/offenders were involved, the
incident is categorized by the highest incident in a reporting hierarchy established by the FBI’s national
crime reporting programs [Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) and National Incident-Based Reporting
System (NIBRS)]. However, the domestic relationship may be related to one of the lesser offenses
involved in the incident.
Cornelius Police Department:
Data includes an estimate of the number of domestic
violence-related calls for services for the department and the number of “Assault on a
Female” charges filed. Updated: January 2013.
Matthews Police Department:
Data available as of FY 09. Updated: January 2013.
Pineville Police Department:
Data first became available for FY 12.
Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office:
Provided data 2007. Data includes the number
of 50-B Orders filed, number of 50-B’s where weapons were ordered to be seized and
the actual amount of weapons seized, and the number of hours spent by sheriffs
serving orders. Updated: January 2013.
Disclaimer: These are the numbers that are reflected in the MCSO Paper Process
System. The actual service numbers are somewhat fluid since there are carry over
papers from prior year and at any time the report is run, there are outstanding
processes pending service or other disposition. Also "Unserviceable" papers are one
that are issued where no address is provided for the defendant. The Defendant may
very well be listed as Homeless or with an unknown address and there is no record of
employment, prior arrests, etc. to follow up on.
North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts:
orders issued comes from the AOC.
