Write for about five minutes narrating an experience in the last few days in which
music provided background. For example, you might have walking down the Infinite
or the street listening to music or doing homework listening to music. Describe
what you were doing, what you were listening to and how you were feeling. Assume
the reader may not know a particular song or artist, so describe the music to make it
more accessible to readers (e.g., “the angry beats of…, the nostalgic tones of…”.).
If you were going to make a film about your current life at MIT, what kind of
soundtrack would you aim for (e.g., tense/edgy, romantic, meditative,
eclectic/mixed)?
Are there any particular songs you would be sure to include?
