Dear Resident:
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and
consulting engineer, Land Design, Inc., have selected
a preferred alternative to address the drainage issues
and concerns within the Mary Alexander Storm
Drainage Improvement Project area. Land Design
is finalizing the selected alternative report. Once
complete, the project will begin the design phase.
The project phases and duration of a typical storm
drainage improvement project are:
1. Planning: 12 to 24 months (99% complete)
2. Design: 21 to 34 months
3. Bid and Award: 5 to 6 months
4. Construction: 3 months to 1 year.
