Estimation of signals received from the sensors (Usually it is employed to de-noise the
measured signal or estimating the signals which are not measurable but needed in control)
Model Predictive Control (MPC) of linear and nonlinear systems (expert).
Hybrid systems (System with continuous and discrete states).
Optimization: Convex optimization using Matlab.
Programming. Expert in Matlab (and its tools including Simulink). Used to program

Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines (2013-Now).
My research highlights include:

Advanced Control & Optimization Lab (2009-2012).
Being a research assistant in Advanced Control & Optimization Lab. headed by Prof. M. Haeri by
focusing on modeling and control of hybrid systems. Specifically:

Evaluating and analyzing of a proper Mixed Logical Dynamical model for GMAW process
Designing a Nonlinear Model Predictive Controller incorporating hybrid behavior of the process
during droplet detachment.
Intelligence and Robotic Lab(2008-2009).
In 2008-2009, I had been a Research Assistant of Intelligence & Robotics Lab. headed by Dr. A. M.
Shahri. Under his supervision, I have done various projects to conduct my B. Sc. thesis including:

Research for design an intelligent smart electrical energy metering device by float price rate.
Design and test of the device: this device was equipped by an ATmega128 to process data. The
processor calculate new price of energy for customer by estimating load of network permanently.
The made device had only 1-5% error in calculating energy.
Finally, we implemented, and tested a smart grid network in which its nodes, equipped by
ATmega128, communicate with each other using Zigbee protocol (IEEE 802.15.4).
R&D department of Esfahan’s Mobarake Steel CO (2007-2008).
I have collaborated with Esfahan’s Mobarake Steel CO under supervision of Dr. Jalali on the following
project:

Design and implementation of a Tele working center
In this project, the advantages and challenges associated with a Tele working center were investigated.
Also, a scenario was designed to set up a center which enables employees to control the process remotely.
