The real estate acquisition phase is nearing completion
and the bid phase will begin in November. During this
phase, the City takes competitive bids from responsible
contractors to perform the construction work. Construction
begins after City Council approves selection of the lowest
responsible bidder. Construction is expected to begin
summer 2014.
This project will include sidewalks along Bainbridge
Road, Melba Drive, Forest Way Drive and portions of
Vista Drive, Knickerbocker Drive and Old Post Road. New
catch basins and storm drainage piping will be added in
a few locations in the roadway of Coatbridge Lane and
McLaughlin Drive. A detention pond will be constructed
at 6931 Old Post Road and the stream leading into the
pond will be restored (cleaned and re-graded for better
drainage into the pond).
