Beckwith/Meadow storm drainage improvement project YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held the first public meeting for the Beckwith/Meadow Storm Drainage Improvement Project on December 11 at the Vine Church. The meeting was held to present general project information on the stormwater capital improvement projects and to discuss existing stormwater issues within the project area. 3. Bid and Award: 4-5 month 4. Construction: 3 months to over 2 years • Project updates will be mailed every 4 months to keep the public informed of progress. • A public meeting to share the conceptual design should be held in approximately one year. Meeting highlights: • Compared public reported problems versus modeled results. • Discussed specific flooding concerns at culvert crossings of Shamrock Drive and Country Club Drive. • Reviewed the phases and timeframes of a typical capital improvement project: 1. Planning: 16-23 months (current phase) 2.
