Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is currently in the construction
phase of the Andover Phase III Storm Drainage Improvement project.
Phase III begins at the existing headwall near Danbury Street and goes
in two directions. The main system crosses Andover, Chelmsford, Tyng
and continues upstream to a point just beyond Cheltenham Road at
the Cotswold Condominiums. The other drainage system extends along
Coventry Road past Audubon, Exeter, and along Ferncliff Road.
Ferebee Corporation was awarded the construction contract in June 2007,
and given notice-to-proceed on September 4th, 2007. The majority of
the construction work along the main system is complete (Andover Road,
Chelmsford Road, Tyng Way, Cheltenham Road).
Ferebee is beginning the work along Coventry Road. Exeter Road at
the intersection of Coventry Road is closed to allow for room to stage
equipment and store construction materials.
Construction status updates will be sent to you approximately every four
