A formal presentation was given by City staff outlining the goals and objectives of the Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP). City staff also identified the project boundaries and existing conditions. The goal of the project is to balance available funds with existing needs to determine the most appropriate improvement plan for Enderly Park. After the presentation attendees divided into smaller groups to voice concerns, priorities and recommendations. Residents’ knowledge of the neighborhood brought many critical issues to light, including the need for basic infrastructure such as storm drainage and enhancing the neighborhood’s overlooked amenities (Enderly Park and Duke Energy’s right-of-way).
