It’s time for the Young Author’s program. You can use any stories you have started this school year as a starting point. Books are due Feb. 26th and must include your first and last name, team, and grade. You can drop off your books in the LRC. If you have any questions, stop by the LRC. 3). Each year American throw away 25,000,000,000 Styrofoam cups. Did you know that even though there is a recycling symbol on Styrofoam, it still is not recycled in McHenry County? Remember Styrofoam never goes away. It either takes up a huge amount of space in the landfill or blows around the earth because of its light weight eventually making its way to the ocean or another precious habitat. Ecology Club is sponsoring a Styrofoam recycling challenge from January 5th-15th. See your science teacher for details. 4). On Monday, January 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the Marlowe LRC, the Marlowe PTO will be holding their first 8th grade dance planning meeting. All 8th grade parents are invited to attend this meeting to assist in the planning of the 8th grade dance. 5). Please contact Ms. Hayashi if you are still interested in joining speech team! Thank you! 6). The next Top Techs meeting will be Wednesday, January 13, from 2:30-3:45pm in Mrs. Aubert's room, A113. In addition next, Thursday, January 14, pictures will be taken for the yearbook.
