To date, systems development include: – Study Manager – Course Manager – Scheduling system ASP.NET, C# and MS SQL server. Examples Problems & Solutions z z z Database hosting – used university service for approx. 3 years but needed to upgrade to SQL 2005 and have greater access Certificates – purchased from SSL247 rather than via JANET. Fast and cost effective. Web application hosting – used university service but required full access to configure sites so purchased own server. Other Projects z z CRISP project Document Management – Sharepoint – – – z Transferring website Training SOPs Study documents, sharing with NHS R&D Clinical Research Imaging Centre (CRIC) Data storage z z Large amount of off-site storage required – Purchased 2TB from MVM, very successful CRIC requirements – Approximately 40 TB.
