Call for an appointment (701.777.2159) and then work towards your admission requirements. Pass Comm 102 or 103 with a grade of C or better Pass two of the following: English 110 College Composition I, English 120 College Composition II, English 125 Technical & Business Writing, English 130 Composition II: Writing for Public Audiences with a grade of B or better. (Proposed change for Fall 2015 to eliminate a grade requirement) Have a 2.50 overall GPA (which must be continued in order to take courses in Communication. At graduation, GPA must also be at least 2.50). (Proposed change for Fall 2015: Have a 2.0 overall GPA which must be continued in order to take courses in Communication. At graduation, communication courses must have a minimum average of 2.2 GPA) Have earned at least 24 semester credits Have his or her assigned faculty adviser approve a personal Plan of Study contract Second step: You are now an Admitted Major – As an admitted major you will work with a faculty advisor to choose courses that fit your academic plan of study. Attaining Admitted Major status opens many restricted classes. In addition, students are eligible for communication scholarships. Third step: The term before your planned graduation, make an appointment for a degree audit with the Communication Program Academic Advisor at 701.777.2159.
