Myrtle/Morehead s t o r m d r a i n a g e i m p r o v e m e n t p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work Dear Resident: February 14, 2013 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held its second public meeting on January 29 at Covenant Presbyterian Church to update the neighborhood for the Myrtle/Morehead Storm Drainage Improvement Project. Meeting highlights: • The project team has been developing construction drawings for the selected improvements. • Much of the existing drainage system is between homes and under buildings. Replacing the system in its current location is impractical. City of Charlotte Real Estate staff and their consultant, Telics, have begun contacting those property owners. Once the construction drawings are finalized and the required easements, permits, and encroachments obtained, the project will be bid and then constructed. Estimated start of construction is the fall of 2014.
