FAIR LENDING & FORECLOSURE PREVENTION FORUM
Please join representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD), National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and HUD approved housing counseling
agencies at a unique forum to discuss fair lending requirements of the Federal Fair Housing Act,
how to avoid predatory lending, and foreclosure alternatives in your community.
The purpose of this forum is to educate the general public, faith-based organizations and
housing professionals about HUD resources and programs that can assist in eradicating unfair
and discriminatory lending practices. The forum will also address issues related to foreclosure
prevention and options that are available to homeowners facing foreclosures.
Attendees will be able to interact with local and national experts involved in enforcing fair
lending laws, developing foreclosure prevention strategies, and operating government programs
that help families remain in the homes that they have worked so hard to obtain.
