Low Angle Rope Rescue

Description:
Designed to equip the student with the techniques and methods for using rope, webbing,
hardware friction devices, litters in low angle rescue situations. Areas covered include
rope and related equipment, anchor systems, safety lines, stretcher lashing and rigging,
mechanical advantage systems, and single-line and two-line rescue systems.

Enrollment:
1. APPLY ONLINE FOR ADMISSION TO VICTOR VALLEY COLLEGE at

DO NOT TAKE THE ASSESSMENT TESTS
2. In 48-72 hours you will receive a Student ID Number.
3. Email your Student ID Number along with the course you wish to take to
firetechnology@vvc.edu. You will receive a response notifying you to login to webadvisor
to pay your fees.

$179 includes Registration, Material & Certification Fees.
Certification:
A State Fire Marshal FSTEP certification will be issued with 0.5 units of college credit
Dress Code:
Appropriate dress for class is required. It is the student’s responsibility to maintain a
clean, neat professional appearance.
Acceptable dress includes:
Issued Department Uniform or BDU’s (Class B Shirts are not required)
Unacceptable dress includes:
Shorts, flip flops, hats, cutoffs, tank or halter tops
Any Shirt/blouse without a collar including t-shirts, tank tops, or halter tops
Clothing which is inappropriately worn, stained, soiled or unpressed.
Clothing or decoration which expresses a political opinion, or expresses an attitude or
opinion contrary to the public safety codes of ethics
