Opening Business:

– Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m.
Pledge of allegiance by Secretary Eliseo Torres.

– Christina Kulasxa : stated her interest in filling the position

– President Ballard and Vice President Torres-Tirado Forum:
8.1
President Ballard-Stated that she welcomes everyone into council, she is looking
forward to working with everyone, please remember to save the Big Bear Dates of July 12th,
through the 15th, it is vital that everyone attends.
8.2Vice president Torres-Tirado- Welcome all, i am looking to the awesome year ahead of us. I
am extremely glad to see the new faces on council especially the one that are doing another
year. I am very proud to see two faces from my clubs. Also last year was extremely awesome i
had a blast and the clubs truly showed me how team work works out. I need to find a new
person to be Inter Club Council senator i have to make sure they will be a good fit; it is an
extremely hard job. Well, i am here if anyone needs me but other than that once again,
welcome.
- Council’s Forum:
9.1
Student Services Sen. Walters very glad to be on council, always wanted to be on
council but instead she would be pleased to become a member this year.
9.2
Student Advocate Pribble is very pleased to be on council.
9.3
Fine Arts Sen. Martinez informs the council the Music building is moving to the part of
construction. A non- musical in July but he will keep us updated when that will be exact.
9.4
Secretary Torres is very pleased to work with all of the council members.
9.5
Science Sen. Ruiz is happy to join the council; he wouldn’t stop talking about it as
stated by Vice President Torres-Tirado.
9.6
Executive Sen. Feliciano Congratulates to all the newly appointed Senators. I look
forward to working with them and I cannot wait to make this year a memorable one. Let us
all have a cohesive group.

Public Relations Sen. Excited for being on council.
9.8
Social Science Sen. Kulasxa: Is pleased to be in council again and looking forward
for a great year with fresh new faces. ( Also don’t forget to that the day of the retreat I will be
attending the night of because of clinicals)

Health Sciences & Public Safety Sen. Cruz-Hernandez asked if having summer
vouchers.
9.10
Athletics Sen. Peters a lot of great ideas for summer and fall, many more activities
and fundraisers, and is excited to work with all council members.
9.11
Activities Sen. Gomez is excited. A play called boys next door will be on July 12,
2012.

Advisor’s Forum: Advisor Sewell mention the big bear retreat and all the duties in all next
year goals. 8,000 dollars was fundraised by the last year council members, so that the retreat was
able to be paid.

Committee Reports:

Technology Committee will meet during the summer.

Foundation Reports: Sen. Pribble announced the mud run coming in August 25. It might be
a good idea to establish an ASB team. Scholarship ceremony had just passed. The scholarship
ceremony was established last Thursday.
