FINAL EXAMINATION
Professor Freyermuth
Fall Semester 2015
December 16, 2015 — 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
1.
During this exam, you may use an outline prepared by you, or to which you contributed
along with a study group, but no other materials. Use of any unauthorized materials constitutes
a violation of the Honor Code.
2.
Part I of the exam consists of five (5) short essay questions (some of which have subparts),
which you should answer in a bluebook or by typing your answer on your laptop computer using the
approved examination software. While there is no specific page or word limit, each of the short
answer questions can be answered thoroughly with very concise answers. Prior to each
question, a suggested time is given for that question. In grading, each question will be weighted in
accordance with the suggested time allocated to that question. In total, Part I will count for 50%
of your exam grade.
If you feel you do not have enough facts to reach a definitive conclusion, identify the missing
information you would need, and explain how it would influence your analysis.
Part II contains thirty (30) multiple choice questions which you should answer on the
machine-gradable answer sheet. Part II will count for 50% of your exam grade.
Parts I and II are not being separately timed. If you are taking the exam on computer, you are
strongly encouraged to complete Part I before beginning Part II, so that you minimize the risk
of running out of battery power before completing Part I. You have a total of THREE HOURS,
THIRTY MINUTES to complete the exam. Suggested times:
