SYNOPSIS:
CMPD is investigating the shooting death of Ja’Ron McGill, a 19 year-old, which
occurred on 08/02/2009 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Shots had been fired and McGill
had been hit near the intersection of Lanecrest Drive and Colby Place. McGill was
discovered on the side of the street. Charlotte Fire Department and Medic treated him at
the scene before he was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he died at
approximately 3:00 a.m. on 08/03/2009.
