SYNOPSIS:
On January 12, 2008, at approximately 8:17 PM, Eric Byrd who was shot and killed and three
associates who were wounded, were the apparent victims of a robbery. The four men drove to Lake
Point Apartments in an attempt to buy some marijuana. One of the associates was approached by a
suspect with a gun and robbed. He was then led back to the car. When the men in the car refused to
give him money they were shot. Eric Byrd died at the scene.
