EagleBucks
EagleBucks is a prepaid, debit account that is accessed by your AU ID Card. Because it is a
pre-paid account, there is neither a fee nor a minimum balance. EagleBucks is an accepted
form of payment for goods and services at various locations on and off-campus.
The EagleBucks account has been established for the convenience of purchasing goods and
services on and off-campus. It is not designed nor intended to act as a banking service. No
interest will be paid or credited to balances maintained in the account, no withdrawals will be
permitted, and banking and consumer lending regulations do not apply.
The EagleBucks account will remain valid for the duration of your
stay at American University.
The initial deposit to, or use of, your EagleBucks activates the account that binds you to the full terms and conditions of the agreement. The EagleBucks account is non-transferable. Therefore, cash
advances or withdrawals from the account are not permitted. Balances remaining on guest cards are not refundable. You may obtain your
EagleBucks account balance from any of the Value Stations by swiping the card through the reader or by visiting Housing and Dining
Programs Main Office during business hours.
The area's most popular off-campus businesses accept EagleBucks and
you can use it to pay for restaurants, food delivery, haircuts and other essential services including residence hall laundry machines and library copiers.
In the tunnel at the center of main campus, you'll also find the Eagle's Nest convenience
store, a full-service copy center, mailing and fax services at the UPS Store, a hair salon, and a
full-service bank with ATM facilities.
EagleBucks can be added in the Anderson Hall lobby, basement of Bender Library and the
first floor of Mary Graydon Center.
American University ID (One Card)
Your ID (One Card) is a valuable tool you will use for many purposes:




Your meal plan and EagleBucks can be placed on your ID card and used at many
access points across campus for meals.
EagleBucks are accepted at over 50 on and off-campus locations.
You can use your One Card to check out books at the Bender Library, print papers
and make copies.
You may occasionally be asked to show your ID Card when riding the AU shuttle.
If you lose your ID card, go to the Housing and Dining Programs office (Anderson
Hall) and report your missing card. The staff member will request a new card and transfer your previous balance of EagleBucks onto your new card.
For more information and a complete list of Eagle Bucks merchants, visit the Housing
and Dining website :
