discussed.
Pharmacy Symposium

disease and Peptic ulcers and peptic ulcer disease are
reviewed. Cost-effective studies of
the use of antacids, H2 receptor
antagonists, and proton pump
inhibitors are discussed. The role of
antimicrobial products in the
treatment of peptic ulcer disease is
highlighted.
Osteoarthritis and Gout
Management of osteoarthritis is
aimed at pain relief, stiffness and
joint swelling as well as other issues
related to quality of life such as
morale and control of anxiety.
Management of gout with respect to
pharmacologic and dietary aspects is
