TL1 Class E Training Award Program Requirements
&
Enrollment Contract
1. 100% time and effort devoted to performing and completing a mentored clinical & translational research
project during the 2-year training period.
2. 22 Credits of didactic curriculum
3. A clinical & translational research grant proposal in which you are the PI submitted to the NIH or other
funding agency requiring peer-review (K23, R21, R01, or other NIH grant proposals) that is in revision or
funded OR at least one manuscript where you serve as first author that is in press, or about to be published
in a peer-reviewed professional journal.
4. Presentation of mentored research project at the CTSC monthly seminars, annual research day symposium,
grand rounds, or a national or international scientific conference.
5. 80% or higher attendance rate is required for all courses. You are required to notify the course instructor
and/or program office if you will be absent.
6. Satisfactory performance on all written examinations.
IF AT ANY POINT THERE IS A CHANGE IN THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH YOU RECEIVED YOUR GRANT,
YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE PROGRAM OFFICE AT CTSC_K30@MED.CORNELL.EDU. CHANGES

A CHANGE OF STATUS MY RESULT IN TERMINATION OF FUNDING AND YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
RETURNING THE FUNDS.
