BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Kids a Cookin’ is a series of inter-active videos in English and Spanish for use by nutrition educators in
teaching basic cooking skills, good nutritious food choices using the Food Guide Pyramid, and food safety
to children and their caregivers through VHS tapes and DVDs. The show’s host and children from across
the state prepare recipes on site. The nutrition information, recipes, tips and techniques, games and
streaming video can be downloaded on the website at www.kidsacookin.ksu.edu.
