Clinical Interests
Interventional nephrology is a subspecialty designed to ensure that patients receive and maintain
the vascular and/or peritoneal access they need to start or continue dialysis. Using the latest
techniques in fluoroscopic evaluation and intervention, Dr. Ross diagnoses, treats and monitors
patients’ dialysis access. She has been dedicated to this type of care for more than 10 years,
ensuring that kidney disease patients have a better quality of life.
Dr. Ross focuses her research on the triad of blood flow, vascular injury and accelerated thrombosis
to improve the success of vascular dialysis access. These areas of vascular research are all vital to
understanding the accelerated damage to blood vessels that is prevalent in kidney disease patients.
