4.3 Fomalhaut
One Fomalhaut activity consists in 7 steps described below. The total duration is 60
minutes. The observation will be repeated 3 times during the 8 hours of
observation. For the remaining of the time we will conduct some HSP tests, staying
within the SSR allocation. The HSP testing has 5 steps: 600 seconds at 1ms
integration time, 600 seconds at 2 ms, 600 seconds at 4 ms, 600 seconds at 8 ms
and TBD seconds at 2 ms.

6 PLANNED REAL-TIME AND CONTINGENCY COMMANDS
6.1 Turn On
The turn on will be accomplished from the background sequence. The IEBs will be
loaded from the background sequence.
6.2 Contingencies
The only contingency identified is a failure to upload the new flight code into the SSR
on DOY 152. The diagram below explains how this contingency is handled.
The contingency IEB does the following: (1) the MAPS is without HDAC; and (2)
the HDAC conditioning starts with one hour of HDAC in photometer mode,
continues with one hour of modulation and then goes back to photometer mode until
the start of the AlphaPSa activity. HSP is still turned on at the start of the HDAC
conditioning activity.

(1) To improve the CM of the IEB file, the original file header should be printed in
the summary files.
(2) Testing the sequence shows that the FUV/EUV set up takes between 10.10
seconds 19.9 seconds (full image).
(3) Need to add an “out of memory” check to the seq2ds utility.
(4) During the first contingency sequence test, when triggering 0 after execution of 2,
noted the creation of 3 FUV and 3 EUV packets. Could not repeat the next day.
