“Quality of Experience in Wireless Networks” Pascal Hamelin, Nortel Networks 3G wireless networks will support a wide range of applications and services. Since the Internet success story, Quality of Experience has demonstrated its key role in service usage. In wireless, QoE is even more critical, and this because of wireless network technology specificities and cost. After introducing the concept of QoE and its relationship with network performance, this presentation will try to answer the challenging questions of assessing end user perception: what are the relevant objective criteria that underlie QoE? How to measure this End-to-End performance? This presentation will be illustrated with some examples of wireless applications.
