FOLLOW-UP TO THE INSPECTION OF ST NINIAN'S HIGH SCHOOL, EAST
DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL
The report on St Ninian's High School was published in September 1998. HM Inspectors visited the
school in May 2000 to evaluate progress made in responding to the main points for action in the
report.
Overall, very good progress has been made in addressing almost all aspects of the main points for
action. HM Inspectors wish to commend the school for the work done to raise standards of
attainment. They will make no further visits to the school in connection with the 1998 inspection
report. In April 2001, however, they will request a report from you on progress towards addressing
the outstanding aspects of recommendation one, on accommodation.
I attach an evaluation and brief account of the response made by the school and the education
authority to the main points for action in the report.
I am sending a copy of this letter to parents of children currently in the school and the other
recipients of the inspection report.
