Principle, Disability-specific Mandate and
Mainstreaming Policy Statement
ICT accessibility, through universal design, assistive
technologies and reasonable accommodation, is to
ensure full and effective enjoyment of human rights
and fundamental freedoms by all people, mandated
by Convention on the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities (CRPD) and mainstreamed by World
Summit on Information Society (WSIS)

WSIS Declaration of Principles (Para 13, 25, 30,
53, etc)

On-Demand Digital Talking Book Delivery System
over telephone
Non-proprietary technology standard, primarily
from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and
DAISY Consortium (DC)
Initiated by Thailand Association of the Blind
(TAB) since 2005 through collaboration with
NECTEC Ratchasuda Foundation under HRH
